Whether you raise show or performance horses, or need to keep the workhorses on your farm strong and healthy, we have the right product for you. All of our equine feed is expertly formulated by our professional equine nutritionist, Dr. Gary L. Heusner. Dr. Heusner is an extension horse specialist and professor at the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. He holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. He is responsible for working with 159 counties and agents in the state of Georgia’s horse extension program.
He also conducts adult education programs and assists with state 4-H horse programs. He is the faculty farm coordinator for the Department of Animal Science Horse Farms, with an inventory of 85 head of horses. His research projects are in the areas of nutrition, reproduction, and behavior of horses. He has numerous publications.
